The Midrand Campus
Our Midrand Primary School campus is truly a joyful campus – a place where children are happy and reaching their potential. The happy buzz of the school reflects the collaboration and interactive learning that takes place inside and outside of the classrooms. Our teachers and apprentice teachers care deeply about our students, forming warm and trusting relationships with the children in their care. The joy of learning is evident in our students’ engagement with classroom activities. Singapore Maths, our mathematics curriculum, stretches our students, building concepts and skills.
Every Friday our young ones participate in Exploration Day. A day dedicated to students exploring what they have learned from different perspectives. Students get involved in the arts, sciences, coding and robotics – all skills necessary for the 21st Century. As you walk into the campus, you will notice how the walls inside the building are adorned in the artwork and writing of our students – work they are so proud of. Aftercare
Nova Pioneer offers aftercare as a privately run service to our learners. Sherpa Kids brings South African parents an internationally benchmarked, structured and professional programme, wrapped up with lots of love and care. Aftercare includes a structured, fun-filled afternoon that is centred on Learning Through Play. Holiday Care includes entertaining and activity-packed days. Aftercare Times: 12.30pm - 5.30pm. Holiday Care Times: 7am - 5.30pm
Student Support
Nova Pioneer's Psychosocial Support Team, consisting of psychologists, intern psychologists and registered counsellors are available to provide social, emotional and learning support, including counselling and therapy, to students who are in need. Our therapists also work alongside teachers to maximize student support in the classroom and to create ongoing opportunities for social and emotional learning. We also have a partnership with an external service provider, The Care Junction, who provide on site Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy.
